What can I say?

I’m quite new to photography, and I think of it as 3 types of performance.

The first a still life when all around is serene; especially the light, the wind and your mind. The second is like a Broadway musical; lots of ‘song and dance’ where you need to keep up with all of the moving parts. And finally, the third can only be compared to a magic trick; a moment in time that comes, performs and disperses… all in front of your eyes.

The trick for me as a photographer is to be ready for anything from the still life to an all-singing, all-dancing, full-orchestral spectacle. All I need to do capture the intricate interplay of texture, colour, form, shadows, and light. Easier said than done!
