Passage to India
Romantic, timeless, vibrant, spiritual; I have completely fallen in love with India. This is my first collection from Kerala and Rajasthan where for many days it felt like being on a film set. Light is always the first and last consideration, gentle morning dew the most romantic, and kindest to the photographer. The midday sun requiring a shady nook, a palace or a market where the colours, textures and shapes can be preserved from the harsh light.
India is a heady mix of mysticism, fragrance, religions, and beautiful landscapes. It is a country of epic adventures, grand forts and one of the few remaining places where one can still lean out of the train. And lose your head!
Travelling was a delight among people who were warm, funny, and so enchanting. Smiling of course the universal language of humanity.
